Michael Mike D. Paine

Michael Mike D. Paine 60, a long time resident of Swanzey and formerly of Keene died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene.

Michael was born the son of Julia (St. John) and Robert Paine on August 26, 1954 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School class of 1972.

On May 27, 1989 he exchanged vows with Donna M. Esposito. They were married at their home with family and friends in attendance. They have been married for twenty five years.

Mike was employed by the Kingsbury Company of Keene. He was a machinist and retired in 2009 after thirty years of employment. After retirement he worked for a time for Innovative Machine in Winchester, Sekor Machine in Winchester and Continental Cable in Hinsdale.

Time would be spent hiking the local trails with his dogs. He was a strong advocate for dog rescue and adoption. He liked to putter around the house doing various projects and repairs. When time permitted he would go camping with the family. Winter meant time for snowmobiling. Mike was a very proud father. He enjoyed watching his son play sports and would watch sports on the television. Mike would also take the time to enjoy and celebrate his sons accomplishments.

Mr. Paine is survived by his wife, Donna M. Paine of West Swanzey. His son, Adam P. Richards and his significant other Kori Field of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his mother, Julia Paine of Keene. His only granddaughter, Raelyn S. Richards of Houston, TX. in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mike is predeceased by his father, Robert Paine who passed in 1977 and his brother Gary Paine who passed in 1994.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6 to9pm. in the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held later. Flowers will gladly be accepted or you may send a donation in memory of Michael D. Paine to the charity of ones choice.
