Marjorie R. (LaBounty) Russell, 93, of Franklin, NH. and formerly a long-time resident of Swanzey and Keene died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon. She passed peacefully with the love of family near after a period of declining health.
Marjorie was born the daughter of the late Rose (Lower) and Peter J. LaBounty on June 8, 1925 in Gilsum.
On June 13, 1942 she exchanged vows with Charles E. Russell at St. Bernards Church in Keene. They were married with family and friends in attendance. Sadly, Charles passed in 1993 after fifty years of marriage.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters; Jane R. Capone of Marlborough and Bonnie L. Descoteaux and her partner Heath Mansur of Northfield. Three grandchildren; Scott Streeter, Cory Descoteaux and his fiancée Debbie Foote and Jessica Descoteaux; also, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition, she leaves; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Marjorie was pre-deceased by all of her siblings; Dorothy Buffum, Peter LaBounty, Florence Champney, Eva Coffey, Mabel Fisk, Clara LaBounty and Virginia Caitlin. Past in-law family members include Bruce & Nancy Descoteaux of Swanzey and George Streeter of Marlborough.
The family would like to thank all of her Keene “Wendy’s” friends, as she referred to them, for the kindness shown to “Marge” in her final years. She was very grateful and proud of the birthday celebrations given to her. Also, a special thank you to Randie for all the transportation and caring over the past few years and Cheryl and Karen, who went out of their way to be sure she was safe and comfortable while still living at home.
