Kenneth C. Valenti Sr. 64, of Keene died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene.
Kenneth was born the son of the late Frieda (Klaver) and Sam Valenti on November 3, 1951 in Bay Shore, N.Y. He was educated in Patchogue, N.Y. and graduated from Patchogue High School class of 1969.
On July 10, 1971 he exchanged vows with Linda J. Burke at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church in Coram, New York. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for the past forty-five years.
Ken was the owner and operator of the Valenti Tractor and Equipment Company in Troy. He has been in the tractor and repair business for the past thirty-three years.
He was a man who loved to work. Being a businessman, husband and father and grandfather he had little time for pleasure. When time was available he enjoyed time with his wife, son, daughter, grandchildren and family. He loved car and tractor restoration projects and old engine shows.
Mr. Valenti is survived by his wife Linda J. Valenti of Keene. His daughter, Cheryl L. Jackson and her husband Leslie of Sullivan. His siblings; Dennis Valenti and his wife Maureen of Bayport, N.Y. Diane Stephani and her husband Johnny of Blairsville, GA. And Jeff Valenti and his wife Deborah of Eastport, N.Y. Six grandchildren; Adrianna Labadie, Tyler Valenti, Allison Labadie, Ryan Valenti, Kevin Valenti, Alaina Labadie. A daughter in-law Rebecca Valenti of Keene. In addition, he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ken is pre-deceased by his son Kenneth C. Valenti Jr. who passed on November 24, 2014.
In keeping with Ken’s wishes there will be no service. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6 to 8pm. in the funeral chapel. Flowers will gladly be accepted.
