Kelly J. (Newell) Flournoy, 51, a life-long resident of Winchester died on Sunday, October 27, 2019 in the comfort of her home. She passed unexpectedly after a long period of declining health.
Kelly was born the daughter of Carol S. (Snow) and Howard Newell Jr. on July 24, 1968 in Keene. She was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School in Winchester class of 1986.
On January 18, 1992 she exchanged vows with Douglas A. Flournoy at the Village Church in Swanzey. They were married with family and friends in attendance. The Flournoy’s have been married for twenty-seven years.
Kelly worked at Chesco in Keene as a Home Provider for twenty years before retiring in 2011. Prior, she had worked at Monadnock Developmental Services in Keene as a Direct Support Staff Professional.
She enjoyed reading and watching sports on television. She was a football fan and NASCAR fan. She enjoyed watching and playing baseball. Kelly Enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Flournoy is survived by her husband, Douglas A. Flournoy. Her children; Amanda Flournoy of Winchester and Matthew D. Flournoy of Marlborough. Her mother, Carol S. Newell of Winchester. Kelly’s siblings; Jeffrey H. Newell and his wife, Dawn of Winchester, Stacey L. Maxwell and her husband, Dave of Conway, S.C. and Esther L. Beverly and her husband, Marion of Winchester. In addition, she is survived by; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Kelly is pre-deceased by her father, Howard Newell Jr. who passed on September 7, 2004.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6 to 8pm. A celebration of life service will occur on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10am. all in the Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 81 Ashuelot St. Winchester, NH. 03470. Burial will follow in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Forest Lake Rd. Winchester, NH. 03470. Donations can be made in memory of Kelly J. Flournoy to the Grace Christian Fellowship Church.
