Jean D. (Wood) Kilyanczik 1Jean D. (Wood) Kilyanczik, 93, a resident of Swanzey and formerly of Keene, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, with the love of family by her side. She was born a daughter to the late Margaret (Meehan) and Vernon Wood on August 18, 1930, in Quincy, MA. Jean was educated at Quincy High School in Quincy, MA. class of 1948. On July 9, 1949, Jean exchanged vows with the love of her life, Leon B. Kilyanczik. They had a simple service in Quincy, MA. with family and friends celebrating them. They were happily married for 58 years until Leon passed away in October 2007. She was a wonderful “stay-at-home mom” and “housewife” and mother to all her children until they were all out of school. She then worked at Cheshire Hospital as a unit secretary on the Kingsbury unit. She retired from there after 15 years. Jean was a member of the VFW Post 799 Auxiliary.

(Wood) Kilyanczik 2Mrs. Kilyanczik is survived by her children Colleen Harper of Swanzey, Ronnie Kilyanczik and wife Deborah of Marlborough, and Gayla Tardie of Keene, and Son-in-law, Wayne Harper of Keene. She is also survived by her brother, John and his wife, Patricia of Naples, FL., her seven grandchildren, Thomas Goodell and wife, Linda of Rindge, Kenny Goodell and wife, Shae of Stoddard, Morgan Goodell and partner, Angela of West Burke, VT., Kelly Trombley and husband, Jeremy of Swanzey, Brittany Brown of Keene, James Ethan Brown and wife Victoria of Gilford, and Corey Brown and wife Alanna of West Minister, CA., 10 great-grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Jean is predeceased by her husband Leon, brothers Kenneth Wood, Lawrence (Woody) Wood, Alfred Wood, and sisters, Mary Carrier, Alice Butkiewicz, and Margaret Baker.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes there will be no services at this time. All services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel and Crematories, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH.
