Jane (Brinckerhoff) “Aunt Jane” Pisapia, 95, of Winchester, NH. died on Sunday, Sept.13, 2015 in her home surrounded by family. She was born in New York City on Nov.10, 1919 to Margaret (Boughton) and H. Everett Brinckerhoff. She was raised and educated in Redding, CT. and graduated from Packer Collegiate Institute in 1939 She worked as a secretary for an insurance company in the Empire State Building prior to her marriage.

Jane exchanged vows with the love of her life, Frank Pisapia on July 14, 1951 in Redding, Ct. They had met at a USO in CA when she was visiting the state with her aunt.

Family was most important to her, so she moved from Queens, N.Y. to Winchester 20 years ago to be close to her family. She and her husband were never blessed with children, so her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews were her children. She always attended all the children’s events from sports to school activities. She treasured the years when the kids were young and when they and their friends walked to her house from school to hang out and get snacks and watch cartoons. She truly enjoyed the many family dinners and year around picnics. She loved to travel with friends and family, not only around the country but abroad.

Jane attended the United Church of Winchester and was a member of the Ladies Society and the Winchester Woman’s Club.

Mrs. Pisapia is survived by her brother, Derek Brinckerhoff and his wife Hester of Sante Fe, NM. A niece, Margaret Sharra and her husband Scott and their children Brooke, Chris and Jordan of Winchester. A nephew, James Shannon and his fiancé Ronda Thompson and his children James, Andrew and Ashley and Matt Thompson of Winchester. Nephew, Michael Shannon and his wife Patricia and their children Michael and Matthew of Sandy Hook, CT. and her other nieces; Kim, Jill, Gretchen, Heidi and their families. She is predeceased by her husband Frank, her sister Margaret Shannon and brother Herbert “Brinck” Brinckerhoff.

A celebration of life will be held Friday September 18, 2015 at 3pm. outside at the Sharra residence, 5 Acorn Dr. Winchester, NH. 03470. Burial will be held privately on Saturday September 19th in Redding CT. Donations are encouraged to Hospice and Community Services, 312 Marlborough St. Keene, NH. 03431.
