James M. Durham Sr. 63, of Richmond died on Thursday, June 8, 2017. He passed unexpectedly and peacefully while at Cold River Gravel Company in Walpole.

James was born the son of the late Isabell (Wilbur) and Roland Durham on February 14, 1954 in Keene. He was educated in Swanzey and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School class of 1972.

He worked as a truck driver for the Cold River Gravel Company in Walpole for many years.

In his free time Jim could be found fishing and hunting. He also liked NASCAR and football. Jim was an outdoorsman. He loved to cook chicken and other things on the grill. Jim always enjoyed a good cold beer.

Mr. Durham is survived by is son James “Jamie” M. Durham Jr. and his wife Sam of Richmond. His sister Patricia Malcolm of Winchendon, MA. Jim is also survived by his six grandchildren; James III, Emily, Tyson, Jameson, Vince and Jesse. In addition he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jim is pre-deceased by his brother Roy Durham who passed in 2004.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 2pm. in the funeral chapel. All services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel and Crematories, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. www.cheshirefamilyfuneralhome.com
