James “Jim” Stephen Pulaski, 76, of Swanzey died on Sunday, June 10, 2018. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

James was born the son of the late James and Helen (Chereski) Pulaski on June 21, 1941 in Keene. He graduated from Thayer High School then from New Hampshire Technical Institute.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1963 during the Vietnam War where he was trained as an Administrative Specialist. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sgt. E-5 in 1969.

Jim then established Custom Design Signs, a well-respected sign company in Keene. Jim retired in 2005 after thirty-six years in business.

Jim enjoyed fishing, boating, going to Florida and mostly spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sandra Ricard-Pulaski. His four daughters; Diane Cornwell and her husband Robert of Fitzwilliam, Kimberly Ioannou and her husband Kosta of Keene, Laurie Marson and her husband James of Jaffrey and Jennifer Quinlan and her husband Eric of Weare. Six grandsons; Adam Cornwell, Nathan Cornwell, Ryan Cornwell, Aiden Ioannou, Nicholas Marson and Warren Quinlan. A sister, Patricia Sheahan and her husband William of Centennial, CO. CJ Gardner of Sebring, FL whom Jim treated like a son. In addition, he leaves; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two nieces, two great nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 5 to 7pm. at Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. A mass with Christian burial rights to follow will occur on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10 am. in St Stanislaus Church, Mary Queen of Peace Church, 82 Richmond Rd. Winchester. Burial will follow in the family lot with military honors at Evergreen Cemetery Richmond Rd. Winchester, NH. 03470. Donations can be made in memory of James S. Pulaski to: ALS Association, 1275 K.
