Irene (Bellefeuille) Cote-Royea
Irene (Bellefeuille) Cote-Royea 86 of Keene died peacefully at Westwood Care in Keene on November 23, 2011.
She was born the daughter of Mary (Genest) and Alfred Bellefeuille on May 7, 1925 in Manchester. She moved to Canada as a child with her family and was educated there. Irene left school after the eighth grade as so many of her generation did to help with the family.
In 1947 she took her vows to Mr. Adrien J. Cote at St. Bernards Church in Keene with family and friends in attendance. Sadly Adrien passed on July 2, 1985 after thirty eight years of marriage. Irene was fortunate enough to find love once again and married Mr. Theodore Royea in 1987. He to passed away in 1997.
She worked as an assembler for the MBP Company in Keene for twenty five years before retiring. After retirement she did home day care for a few years.
Irene was a devout Catholic and woman of great faith. She was a communicant of St. Margaret Marys Church in West Keene. She was a very family oriented person. Her time would be taken up with cooking for family and friends. In her younger years she loved to dance and play the spoons for the family.
Mrs. Cote-Royea is survived by her two daughters; Jeannette C. Leonard of Palatka, Florida and Claire M. Bush of Wichita, Kansas. She also leaves five grandchildren; Alicia White, Trent Benoit, Robyn Beliveau, Shawn Simmons, Katelyn Bush and Michael Leonard. Her great grandchildren; Adrien MacClellan, Blake Beliveau, Colby Beliveau, Ansley White and Drew Beliveau in addition to nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by two children; Daughter Margaret Benoit and son Paul Cote. She is also pre deceased by her siblings; William Bellefeuille, Lucian Bellefeuille, Simone Bellefeuille and Victor Bellefeuille.
A mass with Christian burial rights will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 9:30am. in St. Margaret Marys Church, 33 Arch St. Keene. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Rt. 10 South, Keene. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Irene B. Cote-Royea to the Activities Department at Westwood Care Center, 298 Main St. Keene, NH. 03431.
