Gwenyth Gwen E. (Everett) Greeley, 82, a long time resident of Keene and formerly of Concord died on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Genesis Care Center in Keene. She passed peacefully after a brief period of declining health with her family near.
Gwenyth was born the daughter of the late Mary (Welch) and Glenn Everett on April 1, 1933 in Concord. She was educated in Concord and graduated from St. Johns High School class of 1951.
On January 1, 1955 she exchanged vows with Bernard A. Greeley in a simple service in Waycross, GA. Sadly, Bernard passed on September 14, 1997 after forty two years of marriage.
Gwen enjoyed working in her flower gardens and reading. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. When time permitted she could be found watching old movies. She was a fan of the Lions Club shows and volunteered at the United Way in Keene.
Mrs. Greeley is survived by her five children; Sean M. Greeley and his partner Arthur Gerich of Manchester, CT. Garrett J. Greeley and his wife Heather Lacroix-Greeley of Swanzey, Beth Healey and her husband Patrick Healey Sr. of Keene, Jane G. Dreissig and her husband Donald of Swanzey and Amy Greeley and her partner Pamela Johnson of Revere, MA. Her brother Brian Everett of N.J. Five grandchildren; Matthew Greeley, Keith Greeley and his wife Katey, Mollie Maynard and her husband Zach, Lisa Robidoux and her husband Rick and Patrick Healey Jr. and his wife Becky. Four great grandchildren; Ryan, Megan and Ethan Healey and Cole Robidoux. In addition to; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is pre-deceased by her brother Donald Everett and sister Sally Walsh.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 4 to 7pm. A liturgy of the word will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10am. all in the funeral chapel with burial to follow in the family lot at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Gwenyth E. Greeley to: Keene Center Genesis, 3rd. Flr.
