Grace E. (Meinhard) Lindelius

Grace E. (Meinhard) Lindelius, 89, of Keene, NH, passed away peacefully after a brief period of declining health on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

She was born on March 7, 1932 in Elmhurst, IL, to the late Gladys (Gillespie) and William Meinhard.

On August 7, 1953, Grace exchanged vows with the love of her life Dale R. Lindelius. They got married at the Martha-Mary Chapel in Dearborn, MI, with their family and friends by their side. Dale and Grace were happily married for 63 years until Dale passed on September 21, 2016.

Part of Grace’s employment background has included being: a receptionist for the New England Center at the University of New Hampshire, office staff for Wycliffe Bible Translators in Orlando, FL, and as a Floral Designer for Durham Flower Distributors in Durham, NH for several years.

Grace was an amazing ice skater, hiker, camper, swimmer, Water Safety Instructor, and Choir member. If you knew Grace, she was always proper and stylish in her appearance. Other talents and interests include; sewing, decorating, floral design, writing, hospitality, time with pets or watching animals, and spending time with friends. Her greatest joy came from spending time with God and studying the Bible.

Mrs. Lindelius is survived by her two children Deborah and husband James of Acworth, NH and Mark “Lindy” Lindelius and wife Brenda of Huntington Beach, CA. Along with her brother Gordon Meinhard and wife Nancy of Townshend, VT, her six grandchildren Jessica, Joseph, Emily, Dusty, Colt, and Curtis, and her nine great-grandchildren Max, Zoe, Lucia, Shane, Sunny, Jonas, Clara, Rosie, and Violet. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She is now rejoined with her parents, her husband, and her two brothers Paul Meinhard and Joseph Meinhard.

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration is being arranged and will be announced soon.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to: The Billy Graham Evangelical Association, billygraham.org 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28217 or to the Sturtevant Chapel, 15 Washington Ave, Keene, NH 03431.

Services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Home and Crematories, Keene.
