Glenn was born on June 2,1960 in Keene to parents Irene (Kennedy) and Milan Madden. He attended local schools and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School class of 1978.
On September 17, 1988 he exchanged vows with his best friend Laura L. Allen at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for twenty-nine years.
After moving to Marlow, Glenn and Laurie started Madden Oil Company which was successfully sold in 2000. Glenn also started Madden and Sons Logging which he operated with his three sons for many years.
Glenn enjoyed many things in life. He had many major accomplishments, including writing poems and publishing a poetry book entitled From the Heart and successfully receiving a patent. However, Glenn’s proudest accomplishment was his family including his three sons and his loving wife. His sons remember him as a loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Glenn shared many similar interests with his sons, which included motorsports, the outdoors, and animals, especially dogs. Glenn and Laurie’s favorite hobbies together included mining and bowling, as well as simply spending time together. Additionally, Glenn enjoyed telling jokes and making others laugh, working on hands-on projects, cooking homemade spaghetti and meatballs for his family and friends, and most importantly helping others. Glenn showed this by being the caretaker for his father-in-law Jack for many years.
