George Souza Carveiro 45 of Swanzey died peacefully on January 1, 2011 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a period of failing health.
He was born the son of Lucy (Davis) and Manuel Carveiro on January 8, 1965 in Taunton, Mass. George was educated in Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School class of 1983.
Mr. Carveiro was the owner of Carveiro Construction for 20 years. He enjoyed the trades and working with his hands.
Although he was not married in the eyes of the law. He lived the life of a married man to Wendi Phillinger. They shared their lives together with respect and love for many years.
George enjoyed tinkering on things, seeing how they worked and fixing them. He was also a fisherman enjoying the time to think and enjoy his surroundings. He would also buy, sell and trade different objects for fun. Sometimes he would make a few dollars or just break even.
Mr. Carveiro is survived by his wife; Wendi (Phillinger) Carveiro of Swanzey. One daughter, Tiffany Galavotti on Mass. His brother Johnny Carveiro of Mass. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother Michael.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 6 to 8pm. in the funeral home.
A gathering of friends and family will follow to celebrate George’s birthday. This will be held in the old St. Anthony’s Hall next door to the funeral home immediately after.
