George A. Hall, 76, of Keene and formerly of Missouri died on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Langdon Place of Keene. He passed peacefully after a brief period of declining health while sleeping.

George was born the son of the late Mildred (Cole) and Harold Hall on September 11, 1940 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School class of 1958.

Soon after high school George enlisted in the U.S. Army where he completed his time with an honorable discharge.

On December 14, 1959 he exchanged vows with Ruth “Antoinette” Bova. They were married in a simple service in Union, Missouri and have been married for almost fifty-seven years.

George worked as an independent distributor for Pepperidge Farms for seven years prior to retiring in 2004. Prior he had worked at Cheshire Medical Center and Kingsbury’s in Keene.

He enjoyed reading, fixing things and working on his home. When time permitted he could be found working in his vegetable gardens.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Ruth “Antionette” Hall of Keene. His children; Clinton D. Hall and his significant other, Lori Bourassa of Keene, Lori L. Pierson and her husband Timothy of Spofford and Timothy S. Hall of Keene. His brothers; Eugene Hall of Brattleboro, VT. and Harold Hall and his wife Kay of Claremont. Two grandchildren; Wyatt Hall and Dustin Hall. In addition he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. George is pre-deceased by his sisters; Thelma Hollis and Carolyn Croteau.

In keeping with George’s wishes there were no calling hours. A private graveside service was held in the family lot on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene.
