Gale L. Hamlin, 65, a life-time resident of Keene died on Sunday, March 3, 2019. He passed peacefully with the love of his family and dear friends near after a period of declining health.

Gale was born the son of the late Marion (Hammond) and Harry Hamlin on June 2, 1953 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School class of 1972. Gale went on in his studies graduating from New Hampshire College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management class of 1977.

On August 5, 1977 Gale exchanged vows with the love of his life Kathy J. Hebert at St. Bernards Church in Keene. They were married with family and friends in attendance. They were high school sweethearts for 6 years before their marriage. The Hamlins have been married for forty-one years.

Gale spent most of his time enjoying life with his family and close friends. He loved to go skiing, biking, hiking, and golfing. Summers were spent in Ogunquit, Maine at the beach. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather (“Buppie”).

Mr. Hamlin is survived by his three children: Stephanie H. Gaiser and her husband, Phillip of Keene, Joshua A. Hamlin and his wife, Leanna of Keene and Courtney E. Fisk and her husband, Cameron of Harrisville. His brothers; Harry Hamlin of Virginia Beach , VA. and Timmy Hamlin and his wife, Sophie of Virginia Beach, VA. Five grandchildren; Zachary Hamlin, Zoey Hamlin, Noah Hamlin, Lincoln Fisk and Eliza Fisk. In addition, he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In keeping with Gale’s wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held at Crossway Church, 28 Arch St. Keene, NH 03431 on Saturday, March16, 2019 at 11am. A reception to celebrate Gale’s life will follow at the church. All services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel and Crematories, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431.
