Evelyn B. (Park) Thompson, 95, a long time resident of Winchester died on Monday, November 10, 2015 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland. She passed peacefully and while sleeping.

Evelyn was born the daughter of the late Ida (Severance) and Arthur Park on April 11, 1920 in Northfield, MA. She was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School class of 1939.

On December 26, 1953 she exchanged vows with Maxwell Thompson at the Federated Church in Winchester. They were married with family and friends in attendance. Sadly, Max passed in 1991 after thirty eight years of marriage.

Evelyn worked at Pratt and Whitney for two years. Prior she had been employed at the New England Box Co. in Winchester and retired from MPB in 1985.

She was a member of the Federated Church in Winchester. Time was spent crocheting, embroidering and reading good books. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends especially when she could use vegetables from her gardens. She was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox. When ever she would have guests she would be very gracious with her time and visit with them.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Evelyn is predeceased by her ten siblings.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 21.2015 at 11am. in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Richmond Rd. Winchester. 03470. Donations can be made in memory of Evelyn B.
