Elizabeth A. (Young) Whipple, 54, of West Swanzey passed from this life to eternal life on February 4, 2013 after a heroic struggle with a host of health challenges. She is the survived by Arthur Whipple, her unconditionally loving, faithful, and supportive husband of 16 years and his children Yvonne and Art, Jr.

On January 3, 1997 she exchanged vows with Arthur Whipple in a ceremony at the Keene Veterans of Foreign Wars. They were married with family and friends in attendance. The Whipples have been happily married for the past sixteen years.

She was employed by Markem-Imaje for 18 years, most recently as Account Manager for Accounts Receivable. With a strong work ethic, she was a valued, loyal and hard-working employee, who, until a sustained period of failing health, never missed a day of work.

One of the greatest joys of her life was the time she spent with her grandchildren. She looked forward every year to having her grandson Aiden Gray of Oklahoma spend part of the summer with her and her family. She visited with her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Martin Page of Germany, and their children, Alexander and Bettina and eagerly awaited their visits to Swanzey.

Elizabeth also looked forward each year to reconnecting with extended family members at the Annual Geisel Family Reunion in August where she spent days full of family and long nights playing cards and telling and hearing the family stories. Similarly, she savored holiday family gatherings throughout the year.

She reserved a special place in her heart for her shared companion dog, Maggie.

She was a proud member of the Keene Emblem Club and the Keene Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilliary.
