Daniel ‘Jake’ Goldin, previously of Swanzey, NH died unexpectedly October 7th, 2015 in Manchester, NH. He was born April 13th 1986 in Peterborough NH, the son of Lois and Mark Goldin and lived most of his life in Swanzey, NH. He was pre-deceased by his father; his grandmothers, Marion Lougee of Keene NH and Eleanor Goldin of Queens, NY; his uncle Doug Lougee of Nelson, NH; and his Grammas Janette Seixas of Nelson, NH and Betty Euvrard of Athol, Ma. His grandfather Ned Goldin of Queens, NY passed in January 2016. He is survived by his mother; aunts & uncles; Gail and Bob Rhoades of Kansas, Janet and David Phillips, Craig Lougee and Heidi Schnyer, and Joan and Rocky Rousseau, all of NH; and Sandra and Michael Zaccagnino of Arizona, and Bernice Aptaker of New York . He is also survived by his cousins Errin, Jenna, Steve, Shannon, Katie, Kelsey, Sophie and Emma; his best buddies, numerous friends and his pets Forrest and Marley.

Jake attended schools in Swanzey, NH from elementary school through high school and he graduated Monadnock Regional High School in 2004. He also attended New England College in Henniker, NH.

He was active in sports throughout his school years. As a youngster he played Little League & Babe Ruth baseball, soccer, basketball and Pop Warner football. Of all of those, his favorite was soccer and he played on several travel team soccer clubs. In high school he played soccer, baseball, golf, and ran track. His favorite recreational activity was snowboarding, and he was happiest riding the slopes and parks with his friends at his favorite mountains. He had been a volunteer for the X-Games at Mt Snow and one winter was a snowboarding instructor for children at Okemo Mt. He enjoyed fishing, and riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles with his best riding buddies. He learned to golf with his Dad and cherished their golf games at Bretwood. He was fan of the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.

He liked truck driving and in 2013 he obtained his CDL license. He was most recently employed driving for PPNE in Hookset NH. Prior to that he worked for Plotkin’s Furniture, Olive Garden, his own E-Bay business, and C & S Wholesale Grocers.

He is dearly missed and will always be remembered by those who shared his life and love.
