Corrinne L. (Young) Thompson 72 of West Swanzey died on March 15, 2010 peacefully while at rest at Applewood Nursing Home in Winchester.

She was born the daughter of Corrinne A. (Wheeler) and Robert L. Young on November 10, 1937 in Gardner, Massachusetts. She moved to Keene with her family as a young girl and was educated in the Keene Schools.

After High School Corrinne had many jobs over the years. She worked at the National Grange Insurance Co. In Keene as a Book Keeper and Clerk. She was there for ten years prior to retiring in 2000.

On March 27, 1954 Miss Young took her vows to Franklin Thompson with close friends and family at hand in the family home in Keene. The Thompson’s moved to Swanzey in 1988 and have made it home ever since. They have been married for 55 years.

She would bake all kinds of things. She also liked to read and enjoyed listening to all types of music. Corrinne was an avid N.E. Patriot Fan. She loved her cats and had many over the years.
Her grandchildren were her world. She loved to know what they were up to and taking part in their busy lives.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband Franklin Thompson of West Swanzey, Her 3 children: Debbie Gibson and her husband Joseph of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gary Thompson and his wife Patricia of Gill, MA. and James Thompson and his wife Jennifer of Westport, NH. She is also survived by her mother; Corrine A. Young. She will be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Corrine also leaves cousins, extended family and many friends.

A grave side service will be held on Saturday at 10a.m. in Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene. Donations may be made to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey, Rd.
