Charlotte A. (Olender) Redner, 89, of Keene and a former long-time resident of Utica, NY & Port Leyden, N.Y. died on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Keene Center Genesis. She passed peacefully with the love of family near after a period of declining health.

Charlotte was born the daughter of the late Mildred (Zarnoch) and Louis B. Olender Sr. on February 11, 1930 in Utica, N.Y. She was educated in Utica, NY at Holy Trinity High School.

In 1947 she exchanged vows with Raymond B. Myers in Utica, N.Y. The father of her children. On June 2, 1978 She then married James G. Redner at Bible Baptist Community Church in Port Leyden, NY. Sadly, James passed in December 2009.

She had worked as a nurse’s aid for years at the Sunset Nursing Home in Port Leyden, N.Y. before retiring in 1994.

She was a Born-Again Believer where she attended services at the Sturtevant Chapel in Keene, while she lived in Port Leyden she was a member of Word Bible Fellowship, in Barneveld, NY. She spent her time watching and feeding the birds, doing crossword puzzles, studying her bible and she was a lover of animals. In younger years Charlotte with her children was a former Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, Sunday School Teacher and Member of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA). She loved being a mother, grandmother and in time a great grandmother.

Mrs. Redner is survived by her children; Cyndi Widrick and her husband Mark of New Market, MD. Millicent L. Mish of New Hartford, N.Y. Craig S. Myers and his wife Grace of Rome, N.Y. and Claudia LaBrecque of Keene. In addition, she leaves; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Charlotte is pre-deceased by her brother, Louis B. Olender Jr. and two son in-laws; Andrew L. Mish and Joseph S. LaBrecque also, a grandchild Melissa Myers.

In keeping with Charlotte’s wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11am. at the Sturtevant Chapel, 15 Washington Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Luncheon will be provided after the services in the fellowship hall. Burial will occur later in the family lot at Beechwood Cemetery in Forest Port, N.Y. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations to be made in memory of Charlotte A. Redner to: Kidz Konnection at Sturtevant Chapel, 15 Washington St. Keene, NH. 03431.
