Charles “Charlie” Guyette, 74, a long time resident of Swanzey and formerly of Tamworth died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene.

Charles was born the son of Pauline (Dubriski) and the late Donald Guyette on December 8, 1940 in Keene. He attended Thayer High School in Winchester.

On August 17, 1963 he exchanged vows with Judith E. Duplissie at St. Bernard’s Church in Keene. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for fifty two years.

Charlie worked for the Coleman Construction Company before retiring in 2006 as an Equipment Operator. He had also worked in the past for Baybutt Construction as a Mason and Pizzagalli Construction Company as an Equipment Operator.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a sports enthusiast. Time was spent playing horse shoes, hunting, fishing and camping. Charlie was a New England Horse Shoe Champion. There was never a dull moment with Charlie around. He was always on the move and very active even after retirement. He loved his Harley Motorcycles, family and friends.

Mr. Guyette is survived by his wife, Judith E. Guyette of Swanzey. His mother, Pauline Guyette of Swanzey. His children; Charles S. Guyette and his wife Laura of Keene. Lisa M. Guyette and her fiancée Jeff Hurt of Swanzey. Four grandchildren; Stephanie Pratt, Derek Hartwell, Scott Pratt and Jacob Hartwell. Two great grandchildren; Owen Castor and Silas Hartwell in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Charlie is pre-deceased by his father, Donald Guyette who passed in 2002 his son, Roland N. Guyette in 1991 and his brother Joseph Guyette who passed in 2005.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Charles Guyette will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 2 to 5pm. at the family home: 31 Pine Street, West Swanzey, NH. 03446.
