Carolyn M. (Davis) Pierson, 68, of Swanzey and formerly of Spofford, passed away peacefully while sleeping in the comfort of her home on Friday, September 8, 2023, with the love of her family near.
She was born on June 12, 1955, to the late Mary H. (Short) Davis and Alfred E. Davis in Keene. Carolyn was educated locally at Keene High School class of 1974.
In 1973, Carolyn exchanged vows with the love of her life, Warren F. Pierson Jr. They had a simple service with family and friends surrounding them. They were happily married for 27 years until Warren passed away in 2000.
Carolyn enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and watching her kids grow up. She formerly worked for Walgreens in Keene.
Carolyn loved riding her 1987 Honda Rebel motorcycle and cooking and baking. On Sunday mornings the kitchen would be filled with delicious breakfast aromas.
Carolyn was an animal lover. She enjoyed dancing, going to the drive-in, swimming, mowing her lawn, and spending time with her family.
Carolyn’s laugh and smile were contagious. She was kind-hearted, funny, friendly, and quick to give a stranger a compliment and smile.
Mrs. Pierson is survived by her children, Alfred “Al’” P. Pierson and wife, Kristine of Pittsfield, Jessica P. Joyal and husband, Timothy of Swanzey, her sisters, Donna Mack and husband Gary of Hinsdale, Gail Ells and husband Paul of Spofford. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Derrick Pierson of Epsom, and Leah Joyal of Swanzey, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents and her husband.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the Cheshire Family Funeral Home, 46 S. Winchester St. Swanzey, NH. 03446.
