Bruce Lang, 71, a long time resident of Troy and formerly from Vermont died on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home with the love and compassion of his family at his side.

Bruce was born the son of the late Zoe (Abare) and Harold Lang on November 5, 1944 in Keene. He was educated in Troy and Swanzey and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School class of 1962.

On November 10, 1967 he exchanged vows with Shyra L. Rogers. They were married in a simple service with close family and friends in attendance and have been together for forty eight years.

Bruce was a contractor and businessman. He owned and operated the Bruce Lang Construction Company for 45 years before retiring in 2006.

Bruce enjoyed being a husband, father, grandfather and eventually a great grandfather. He liked the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and being with nature. Time was also spent bowling and playing softball. He was always busy with his hands and often helped family and friends with projects.

Mr. Lang is survived by his wife Shyra L. Lang of Troy. His two daughters; Kimberly S. Keenan and her husband Timothy of Peterborough and Kerri A. Bryan and her husband Robert of Seabrook. His siblings; Joan Mattson of Euclid, OH. Janet McCullough of Troy, Bert Lang of Troy, Gary Lang of Keene, Brian Lang and his partner Pamela Rouleau of Troy and Steven Lang of Troy. He also leaves seven grandchildren; Shaunna, Valarie, Shyra, Edward, Kyle, Coty, Keenan and Spencer. His five great grandchildren; John, Jersey, Zayl, Izak and Lincoln, in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In keeping with Bruce’s wishes there are no services planned to date.
