Bonnie M. (Ridley) Bauer 55 of Spofford and formerly of Swanzey, died peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the comfort of her home with her family and close friends near.
Bonnie was born the daughter of Gertrude Trudy (Tatro) and Edwin E. Ridley Jr. on June 30, 1958 in Keene, NH. She was educated locally and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School class of 1976.
On July 20, 2002 she exchanged vows with Jeffrey Jeff C. Bauer in a simple service at Hunts Pond in Hancock, NH. They were married with family and close friends in attendance. The Bauers have been married for almost twelve years.
Bonnie was a long time employee of Peerless Insurance Company in Keene. She was a Senior Collections Associate and had been in many other roles over her employment. She had started at Peerless in high school and had been gainfully employed by the company for over thirty five years.
Bonnie enjoyed kayaking, camping, snowmobiling with the guys up in Pittsburg, exploring the North Country, four wheeling, swimming in her pool, cookouts and gatherings, being a good hostess and watching wildlife in her backyard. Vacation time was spent traveling to tropical islands each year, aside from a trip to Alaska. Bonnie was a member of the infamous 6 pack and also enjoyed game night every Monday. She could always find a bargain and loved shopping. She was a proud grandmother who spent lots of time with her grandson Riley. Bonnie also adored her Weimaraner dog, Brady, who even had the same birthday as her. More than anything, Bonnie always made sure that she was thinking of others before herself and was a gracious person.
Mrs. Bauer is survived by her husband Jeffrey Jeff C. Bauer of Spofford. She also leaves her children; Heidi B. Hurt of West Swanzey, Kristen M. Hurt of East Swanzey and Hazel M. Bauer of Keene. Her siblings; Timothy Ridley and his fiance Terri Hudson of Keene and Edwin E. Ridley III and his fiance Diane LaBrie of Fitzwilliam. Her first and closest cousin, Frederick Dingeldy of Williamsburg, VA. Grandson, Riley Bauer of Keene. In-laws, Helene and Clifford Bauer of Keene. Brother and sister in-laws; Nancy and Charlie Shaw, Anne and Ed Parsons and Steven Bauer along with his girlfriend Brenda Smith. In addition to several cousins, extended family and numerous friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 4 to 7pm. in the funeral chapel. A Liturgy of the Word will be given on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10am. in the funeral chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Rt. 32 South, Swanzey, NH 03446.
