Anne J. Blake, 83, a resident of Hinsdale and formerly of Canaan, Lebanon and Bristol, died on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland. She passed peacefully while sleeping after a period of declining health.
Anne received wonderful care during her stay at Maplewood and loved the staff there.
Anne was born the daughter of the late Geraldine (Fleming) and John Blake on April 23, 1935 in North Westminster, VT. She was educated at Bellows Falls High School and graduated, class of 1953.
Anne was gainfully employed at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for many years as a Transcriptionist for Physicians.
She loved the opera. Time was spent listening to opera on records and attending opera events all around the region. In addition to her special friend, Linda Taylor of Harrisville, Anne is survived by three children: Gary Healy, Maureen Tadlock, and Lori Ketchner.
In keeping with Anne’s wishes there were no calling hours. A private graveside service with Christian burial rights was held in the family lot at St. Charles Cemetery, Cemetery Rd.
