Anita C. Clement, 77, a long-time resident of Keene and formerly of Swanzey died on Friday, December 22, 2017. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded with the love of family near.
Anita was born the daughter of the late Katherine (Wixon) and Chester Clement on January 17, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was educated in Bristol, Ma and Laconia where she attended schools.
She worked at the National Grange Insurance Company as an executive secretary. Anita retired from the company in 2007 after fourteen years of employment.
She was an active member of the Sturtevant Chapel in Keene for many years. She enjoyed; crafts, card making, stamps, crocheting, cross stitch and playing video games.
Ms. Clement is survived by her children; Donald H. Allen Jr. of Keene, Terri L. Bermudez of Keene and Annette J. Thompson and her husband Jeffrey of Marlborough. A sister, Winnifred Abbott of Swanzey. Eight grandchildren; Stephanie Pratt and her significant other Randy Lamoureux, Stephanie Allen, Scott Pratt, Jennifer Reno and her Husband Shaun Reno, Amanda Amer, David Allen, Brendan Allen, Kirsten Allen. Two great grandchildren; Owen Castor and Abigail Reno. In addition, she leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Anita is pre-deceased by her brother, Richard Clement. In keeping with Anita’s values there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10am. in the Sturtevant Chapel, 15 Washington St. Keene, NH. 03431. Burial will follow at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Anita C.
